Location—1/2 mile from Groton Center on Route 40 Our feline guests stay in two air-conditioned rooms of our home, adjacent to the animal hospital. Since 1977, we have provided a clean, quiet environment (no dogs). Guests are not unattended at night or on weekends. Our goal is to keep the cats comfortable, stress-free, healthy, and safe.
Doctor On-Site You have piece of mind knowing that Sleepy Hollow Feline Bed & Breakfast is next to the Groton Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Susan Horowitz lives and works on-site and is available should your cats require medical attention- your cats regular veterinarian will also be consulted.
Accommodations—Self-Contained, Two-Level "Units" Units are 3 feet high by 3 feet wide and have two levels allowing up and down space to move around (and a place to sleep above the litter pan and food area). Units can be set up to group family cats together or isolate shy cats. Special needs (single level) units, with oversize liitterpans and greater floor space are also available for cats requiring unique care.
Health and Safety
Boarders do not roam free or share common space. The security of knowing they will be protected from the other visitors and remain in their own space minimizes stress and reduces the spread of upper-respiratory viruses. For the protection of all guests, cats are required to have their vaccinations up-to-date prior to arrival. Outside cats must also be current with Frontline protection. Those with fleas and/or other parasites or contagious diseases are not permitted in the boarding area. Groton Veterinary Hospital is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Cornell Feline Health Center.
Registration New clients are encouraged to visit in advance so that they can decide if this facility will meet your cat's needs. Signing a boarding agreement will reserve space for your cats on the dates you desire. It gives us permission to care for your cats and provides us with information we need concerning your cat's health history, habits, and what they like to eat (or what they should be fed). Please contact us for additional information regarding fees, discounts, meals, medication administration, or to answer any questions you may have or make arrangements to visit.
